The next meeting of IH Collectors of MN is scheduled for Saturday, July 12. We have been invited by the family of Richard Kadelbach to hold our meeting at the family farm near Hutchinson. Richard's entire collection plus his shop will be available for our viewing. The day will start at 10:30 AM for viewing and a noon lunch followed by a business meeting . More information will be in the next newsletter and in an article elswhere on the website.

Welcome to IHCC Chapter 15
| "The International Harvesters Collectors Club provides a worldwide collectors network for the preservation of history, products, literature and memorabilia of the International Harvester Company."
IH Collectors of MN #15 is one of thirty seven chapters in this worldwide network. As a state chapter we bring the collecting and preserving of IH related products and history to the local level. And while we are involved in preserving history relating to a company that played an important role in the development of rural America, we strive to do so in a way that brings as much pleasure and enjoyment as possible to the participants

Around the end of December 2007, I learned that the Ag Science class at Sibley East High School-Arlington, MN, was planning on restoring an M Farmall during the balance of the 2007-2008 school year.
Jeff Eppen, Ag Department Instructor, was invited to make a presentation at the March 29 meeting of IH Collectors of MN #15 where he could lay out their plans for the restoration. He told the group that they had restored an H Farmall in the previous school year. That effort had proven successful and they chose to pursue a similar project in the current year.

This is an invitation from Chapter #15, of the Minnesota IHC Collectors, asking you to vote for our states bid or application for the 2011 National Red Power Roundup. We have already sent in to the National Club our “Letter of Intent” to bid on the 2011 Roundup.
News Flash!
The 2011 RPRU will be held in Albert Lea, Minnesota at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds. The dates are June 23, 24 and 25. At the 2008 RPRU on June 14 in Columbia, MO, the Minnesota bid was accepted at a general membership vote. More details will follow! Chapter 15's fall meeting was held at the home of Clem Anton near Marshall on September 22, 2007. On a beautiful autumn day almost 90 members and friends gathered even though the bean and corn harvest had started in southern Minnesota. Look in the Gallery of Photos for some images from that meeting.

The Minnesota IH Rally for 2007 was hosted by the Root River Antique Historical Power Association at their show grounds near Spring Valley, MN on July 20, 21 and 22. The feature for the show was the series of tractors that included the 140, 240, 460, 560 and 660.

The Summer Travels of a 1970 Gold Demonstrator 826

Roger Siemsen from Hutchinson, Chapter 15 member and former Board of Director member, has a tractor that is likely one of the more well-traveled tractors in our club. It has been in the Case IH corporate headquarters atrium in Racine, Wisconsin, attended the Case IH company picnic and has been a part of the Case IH display at several Farm Progress Shows and similar shows around the mid-west this summer. The tractor is now home, but if the Gold Demonstrator Magnum 305 arrives at Arnold’s of Glencoe before the snow files, Roger and the 826 will make one more event.

The Minnesota IH Rally for 2008 will be hosted by the Le Sueur County Pioneer
Power Association August 22, 23 and 24 at the LCPPA show grounds near Le Sueur,
Minnesota. The feature for the 2008 event will be the Farmall M covering the
years 1939 through 1954. This range of years includes the M, M-D, Super M, Super
M-D and Super MTA. A Field of M’s will be the highlight of the show with
a collection of M’s approaching 100 expected.
The M’s will be displayed in chronological order beginning with 1939,
the first year the M was produced. Signs will be prepared displaying the range
of serial numbers for each respective year which will enable the exhibitors
to easily find the appropriate year for their tractor. In addition, a souvenir
exhibitor’s plaque will be prepared for each M brought to the show.

At the December 8, 2007 meeting, Joel Klein and Paul Adelmann were re-elected to the Board of Directors. Robert (Bob) Koepp was elected to the Board of Directors replacing Conrad Fiskness who completed his third term on the board and was not a candidate for re-election. At a Board meeting held December 8, Bruce Jensen was elected President, Paul Adelmann was elected Vice President, Joel Klein was re-elected Secretary and Nathan Hanson was re-elected Treasurer.
